Responsibilities :	Reporting directly to the IT Manager, this will be an opportunity to use your Server skills and continually develop your expertise with a wide variety of technologies and products. Working in a team environment, the System Administrator will be responsible for the company's IT systems and related infrastructure to ensure that all systems function to support business objectives. Key responsibilities include: • Building computer systems environments as directed using defined procedures. • Maintaining optimum system environment by resolving customer's issues and inquiries. • Supporting users through the HelpDesk with rotating on-call. Some travel may be required. • Improving Server, Cyber Security, Network, Desktop environments including monitoring and proactive maintenance and upgrades.
Requirements :	• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, or related discipline. • 5-10 years of experience in an advanced IT role. • High capacity for learning new technologies and broad technical skills. • Customer service frame of mind and a professional attitude. • The ability to prioritize, track, and manage issues to completion. • A team-oriented approach to solving technical problems within scheduled constraints. • The ability to self-manage workload in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
Technical Experience :	Experience in the following categories would be considered an asset. • Enterprise Class Servers maintenance and upgrades - HP and Nutanix. • Virtualized environment - VDI (Citrix) • Windows 8, Windows 10, including Microsoft other products (AD, Windows Server 2016, O365, etc.) • Cyber Security • Databases configuring, optimization, and support. (IBM DB2) • Network experience (LANs/WANS), Fortinet firewalls, routers. • Wireless environment for use with computers and Zebra handheld scanning devices. • Hardware: Desktops, laptops, paper scanners, phones, printers, backup appliances, etc. • Scripting, BackUp Exec, SQL, and Crystal Report experience. • Consideration for TMW TruckMate ERP

Position Title :	Administrative Assistant
Location :	Halifax, Nova Scotia
